Mr. Abraham Gonzalez, Principal
My name is Abraham Gonzalez, and I am the proud principal of Villa de Paz Elementary School. I am originally from Somerton, Arizona and have been blessed with an amazing family; my wife Corina and two young daughters, Camila and Olivia. I possess over 17 years of experience, including positions in education and behavioral health. I am a proud Sun Devil, having graduated with a Bachelor’s in Sociology from Arizona State University. I have since earned two Master’s Degrees in Curriculum and Instruction and Educational Administration from Northern Arizona University and Grand Canyon University.
My past career experience includes working as a Program Coordinator at Chicanos Por La Causa. I have worked in the Villa de Paz community in different capacities for the past 7 years. Currently, as your school Principal, I believe that I can positively affect students, teachers, and families in our community. I have worked hard to collaborate with community stakeholders in order to empower all students for the choices and challenges of the 21st Century. I have a passion for education, specifically computer science, and truly believe that all students should have the opportunity and access to computer science and related technology.
At Villa de Paz, we have worked hard to accomplish this mission through a collaboration with Verizon and Amazon to provide computer science and technology opportunities for all students. It is our firm goal to enrich the lives of every student and teacher. As a strong advocate for the youth of today, it is my hope to enhance the quality of their educational experience by providing students and teachers with the tools they will need to succeed.
